Spinning Out by Lexi Ryan

Sometimes a book starts out and you just have this feeling that you are going to devour every word. This was the case for me with Spinning Out. The writing, the story line and the characters really pulled me from the beginning. It was different and intriguing and it made me want to cheer Mia and Arrow on even through the toughest of times.

Arrow had me falling to my knees from the get go. He opened his mouth and I fell in love a little more and more. He was just so real and never pulled the punches. He knew how to pull them in and let them go all at the same time.

This was a unique story. It seems like I constantly read the same thing over and over, but this one was intriguing and left me wondering what the hell was going on and in the end what would happen with Arrow and Mia. Lexi Ryan did this one proud.

Things Liars Hide by Sara Ney

I wish I could be one of those people who loves every book, but that is just not in the card for me and although I fell in love with How to Date A Douchebag by Sara Ney this just didn't work out for me. If you love the cutesy type relationships where the guy is young acting and the girl has major dramatics than this is the book for you. Tabitha and Collin meet in a very entertaining way and I did actually love the basis of the story.

I wanted to love it just because it was Sara Ney, but when a book doesn't work for me it just doesn't work. One of the things I usually love about this author is her characters chemistry and this just fell a little short for me.

Hate To Love You by Tijan

I wanted to love this book so much. Tijan and her writing seem to be ingrained in my heart for most of books, but this one just didn't connect for me. I was so intrigued at the beginning. I mean first day of class, hot guy and girl who was awkward... I was like hell yeah. I just didnt connect with either of them. I wanted more. I wanted that lust that need to be with each other.

Kennedy seemed to be a little to rough around the edges for me. I wanted her to soften so many times through this book it just didn't seem to happen. She seemed almost too mean for the things that happened in her life. I wanted her to be a little less dramatic and a little more open to new things.
Shay was a great guy and very supportive in everything that concerned Kennedy. I8 wish we would have had more time to explore their thoughts and feelings a little bit more. I love Tijan and usually her books are right up there at the I only give 5 stars and I would love to say the same for this one it just connect with me.

The King by Skye Warren

Skye Warren has quickly moved herself up to one of my top authors. Her writing brings me into the book almost like I'm there in the if the story is my story. The day I discovered this author is the day that all my book funks ended. Im pretty sure I was in a major slump until just by chance, I had this free book on my kindle which in turn brought me my new author obsession.

So needless to say when The King came out I couldn't wait to get my hands on Damon Scott's story. I was so intrigued by him that I needed to know what the hell was happening. Ms. Warren has this way to make a story come to life. Her story goes so deep its almost like its your story. You read it, You live it and in the end you need each word to keep going.

Mercy by Debra Anastasia

Debra Anastasia adds just the right amount of humor and romance to ruin you for other book couples. She really ups the ante with such an intriguing book. She takes a story and not only has you parading along after her words, but she has you tossing the fn candy out to anyone who will listen to you talk about this book.  I went into this book knowing absolutely nothing. All I read was the name of the book and the little snip it of... he shows none... I was all in. When an author can put three words on the front of book that has you one clicking like a damn crazy person, you know the story will be worth your time.

Becca was the rock in this story. She seemed like at any given time she might have stumbled along the way, but her fight and sheer will power never wavered. She was strong willed and vulnerable at the same time. You just knew she had a bad ass side that she was hiding and it was just waiting to come out. Well you will not be disappointed.

I'm not going to life, I was not D. Anastasia reader prior to this book. I have heard great things, but just never thought the book was for me... until this one. It makes me want to go back and start reading all her others. As a reader at times it seems you can only to talk other readers about how a book will have you up in the middle of the night reading it and shaking with laughter. This is one of those books you will be talking about. The author blended suspense and humor and words that you will reread over and over all in one book. Total package

Drunk Dial by Penelope Ward

I wish I could say that I fell head over heels in love with this book, but something was just missing for me. I didn't feel the connection of the characters that I usually feel with Ms. Wards books. I thought with the way the book started out that I would love the way it would all pan out. Rana drunk dialing Landon is something I think we have all done. So I was instantly entertained with her drunken antics.

The one thing I did love was the Landon and Rana in the past. I loved the letters Landon would write, I just wish I felt the same connection to the older Landon and Rana that I did to the younger version of them. I also enjoyed how she wove Rana's secret into the book. I thought that was well played and truly didn't see it coming. I love Penelope's Wards writing, I think this just had a little too much happening in it for me to feel emotionally connected to Landon and Rana

Dirty Little Secret by Kendall Ryan

If you are looking for a quick, short and fast read with a guy who isn't sure at first what he wants then this is the book for you. A story with 3 hot guys, you know its gonna be a story you want to read. There is just something that draws me and pulls me in to the the men who seem to go hot and cold. The guys who want the girl, but just cant fully commit. You know the assholes. They get me every damn time.

I was worried starting this book that Emma would be a quiet spectator during this book. So to say I was pleasantly surprised when Emma turned into a girl who would not only make her own decisions with a side of a sassy mouth, but that she wouldn't take no shit from Gavin. The ending was just enough that has me anxiously awaiting book 2 so I can see what the hell will happen.

When Life Happens

Some books you read and some books move you to read. When Life Happens is one of those books. This author writes words that dig deep in your soul. Her words push you as a reader to sometimes move past the uncomfortable knowing that what is at the end will be worth every second of it. It's not often I find myself in awe of words and sentences that are so beautifully strung together at times they make your heart hurt and smile at the same time.

I absolutely fell in love with Parker. I found myself identifying with her on so many levels. Life's decisions, the mistakes and her finding her happiness. It was a bumpy road, but so worth every adventure we were taken on. Jewel E Ann is a wizard with words and a magician with a story line.

If you are looking to just read a book then you have a million choices, but if you are looking for a book that will stand out among a million… this is that book. It's the one that as soon as you start reading you just know its special. You know that it will be something you talk about for a long time.

RUCKUS by L.J. Shen

You know when a book sits on your Kindle just taunting you, but something keeps holding you back from reading it? You see, I already had a book boyfriend by the name of Vicious and being the greedy bitch I am I didn't want to give him up. Then there was Dean. I didn't want to like him, but I ended up loving him. He was just so lost and wanted his girl so much he won me over. I mean, in the beginning I was worried he would catch the dribble dick while waiting for his girl to come around, but it was well worth the wait.

There are just some authors that while reading their book you just know they were meant for this. It's that feeling you get every time you open a piece of their work. Ms. Shen falls into this category. It's special and when reading her words it hits you just how special it is.

There are just some authors that while reading their book you just know they were meant for this. It's that feeling you get every time you open a piece of their work. Ms. Shen falls into this category. It's special and when reading her words it hits you just how special it is. L.J. Shen knows how to capture your full attention and before you know it you are consumed with all her words. Her men are something a reader never let's go of and never forgets.

Rosie and Dean were the perfect couple and dare I say might have put me in this two week book funk I can't seem to crawl out of.

Take Me Back by Meghan March

I will be the first person to admit when I started reading this book I wasn’t sure where it was going. I starting thinking maybe this wasn’t the book for me. Let me be the first to tell you that Ms. March takes a hold of this books and makes it her bitch. She had me flipping the pages like mad wanting and needing more. It didn’t take long for me to connect with the story and have me cheering on Dane and Kat while they battled the waves of reconnecting and finding the love that was lost.

Dane and Kat are the couple that will make you want to smooth the ride out for them and also throat punch them at the same time. The thing about this book is that it’s real. We all have these issues where you are in a relationship and something is just off. You know it’s off, but you don’t know how to fix it. So reading about a couple who is lost and being on the journey as they find their way back means everything to the reader in me.

I usually am the first one to admit I usually bypass on the books where the characters already have a relationship. Every book I have read where they already know each other leaves me scratching my head. That is until Ms. March wrote this book. She made it feel new and old and made me want to fight for this couple and at the same time remember everything that used to be with them.

The Brave Line by Kate Stewart

You ever start a book and just know? You know instantly that this book is going to speak to you in a way only a good book can. Some authors have the capability to make you want to be the couple in the book and if I could have traded places with Michelle I would have jumped Rowdy just about every time too. I mean when I didn’t want to kick him in the nuts that is. Just when I think Kate Stewart's writing can’t get any better she blows me out of the water again with a book that leaves me in a major book funk.

Rowdy and Michelle will steal all the smiles and laughs and in the end your heart. This couple is special. Every smart-ass remark or comment between them just drew me in. I wanted to protect Michelle and dry hump Rowdy.

Feeling emotionally connected with the characters doesn’t happen all the time. These two are guaranteed to make you want to go back and read every one of Ms. Stewart's books. She has something special with bringing not only the couple together, but the reader.  That 5 star read doesn’t happen often, but when it does it will find its way into your heart and into your top reads of the year.

Running Mate by Katie Ashley

Katie Ashley hits a homerun with this sweet and hilarious story about two people who are not looking for love, but finding the fairytale. There is just something about a book that has the two main characters going head to head in a battle of wills. Forced together to pretend to be something they’re not while learning the road map to each others hearts. The banter, the laughs and the wanting to kick Barrett in the balls every time he opened his mouth will surely place a smile on your face each chapter. Ms. Ashley brings wit and humor to a subject that divides most people on a normal day.

Addison and Barrett have this chemistry right from the get go. You know right off that Addison will not be shy about putting him in his place. Barrett is crass and makes a sexual joke about everything. You just know that when the shy, sassy girl meets the playboy who refuses to settle sparks are going to fly.

This book was just what I needed when I started reading. To be able to laugh along with the characters, feel their pain and also, watch two people who have so much in common find something to stand together on was so much fun.

Cole by Tijan

The words that dance from the fingertips of this author has the reader in me devouring each word slowly and at the same time not fast enough. No matter what the story line is each word she writes speaks to me and each world she creates pulls me in. You just know as soon as you open a book by Tijan that this is what she is meant to do.

When it comes to mafia books we all know I’m completely infatuated. Somewhere in my wine muddled head I dream of being a mobster’s wife with long fingernails and big hair while my hubby in his wife beater goes around kicking everyone’s ass who even dares to look at me. Luckily for me, there are authors that write my mafia stories and I get to live my fantasy of mob life through them.

Cole and Addison might have been from different worlds, but reality would soon come crashing down and sure to shake up everything they thought they knew. I loved the mystery that surrounded Cole. The way people just seemed to part when he walked into a crowd. It was like you were in the room and could here the hush wash over the crowd. These two would fight for each other and fight for the love that bound them together.

Lost In Between by K.L. Kreig

You know the sexual afterglow right after some good sex? Whether its afterglow or bookglow MS. Kreig delivers on it every freaking time.  I feel like I discovered a way to get that warm, cozy and satisfied feeling without having to actually get undressed. I have read every book she has written and her writing just keeps elevating to some of the best that I have read. Whatever Alpha fountain she has tapped into I want to be part of it.

The way Willow and Shaw first meet I knew immediately that they were going to be hot together. I couldn’t wait for sparks to fly with her strong willed personality and his determination to have her. The banter back and forth made these two so much fun to read. Let's not forget the sexual tension that will have you flipping the pages just to see what they do next.

This book should have been called Lost In between the pages because that is exactly what will happen the minute you start chapter one. I'm not that reader that usually rereads books, but this will be one I keep going back to. I just loved the connection not only between the characters, but the story.
