Only Love by Melanie Harlow

If you are looking for a cutesy, sweet read with little drama then this is the book for you. When looking for love in all the wrong places meets not looking for any love you know you will be into some back and forth and when one is going to push the other will surely pull.  Although, I liked the story line I just couldn't feel a connection between Stella or Ryan. I felt more of connection to granny and thoroughly enjoyed her antics and meddling.

Ryan was aloof and seemed very shy with an obsession for sweets. Stella is the chatty therapist. The sweet girl with her heart on her sleeve. Although, I would loved a little more banter between the couple to help me feel more connected I thought they rounded out the story well.

Hate Notes by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

If there is one thing I can appreciate in romance books it’s when the authors toss in some great banter with a lot of humor. I loved how Reed and Charlotte where constantly taking shots at each other to try and hide the fact that there were feelings involved. Penelope and Vi collaborated a heartfelt, humorous love story that had me enjoying both sides of the story.

Although, at times Reed was a tough one to crack I saw through his hardened heart and knew that once he let go he would go full force to make sure Charlotte was his. I was a bit surprised to find out what his issue was I’m not even going to lie I was expecting the opposite so much I had my made up that my theory was the only theory. Then you have Charlotte, she was so much fun to read, but at times annoying because I wanted her to play a little hard to get. I get it though, the story needed her to be that way it’s just always hard for me to read when the girl is so geared to cling barb after barb.

Cute, quick read that shows the talent of these two authors. I think they both bring so much to the table and I love when they have a guy who has been burned as you don’t read about it so much anymore.

I Bet You

There is just something about the way this author writes a book that leaves a smile on your face when you get to the end. It’s hard to find a book where I find myself liking both the male and female, but she pulled off Ryker and Penelope’s story so flawlessly that I found myself falling in love with both of them. I love me quirky girl and hot guy romance with the best of them, but this book had so much more. I was either laughing or cheering them on.

If you are looking for a cute quick read then look no further. Ryker and Penelope are damn near perfect and check everything off on the list if you are looking for a young couple finding true love. this author is on my must read list every time she drops a book.

Dirty Headlines by L.J. Shen

There are no words to describe the way L.J Shen writes a book. Her stories are like watching a snake charmer. You are so entranced with watching her dance words all over the pages all the while hoping you don't get bitten. Ms. Shen writes a book that will have you dancing chapter to chapter hoping you make it out a live. She is that good at story telling all the while building characters that will make your heart beat a little faster. I could tell you a million times to read one of her books, but I guarantee that once you read one you will not be able to stop.

Celian is just what you expect out of Ms. Shen. He is the asshole that you love to hate. That guy that every time he opens his mouth you don't know whether to cringe or dry hump your kindle. The way her characters are so relatable makes everyone of her books a page turner. She has females that take no shit and males who try to be a hard ass all the while falling for the girl. L.J. Shen is a word genius.

One Last Wish by Aurora Rose Reynolds

When you are looking for an easy read with a love story that is bound to win you over then look no further than a Ms. Reynolds book. Its a no drama, true love story that guarantees you a happy ending. I love this authors writing, but with that said... I wish there was more. I felt like I was missing out getting to know the connection between Denver and Bre. I felt like I  reading a  book were they were strangers strangers, but then I find out they practically lived together for so long after LY was born and I felt like I missed out on learning so much about them. It just seemed like it jumped when I needed to build that connection.

I will continue to be a Ms. Reynolds fan probably for eternity.  Although this might have not been my favorite book of hers I know that her writing is one my favorites.

The Wrong Blaze by Meagan Brandy

If you ever wonder if a Meagan Brandy book is for you just read one her prologues and your decision will be made. She is a wizard with her words and will slay right through your soul with an all-consuming  love that will pour off her characters. That feeling that her words give you will leave you wanting more and flipping back through the pages just to find your favorite parts. Don't even get me started on her men because DAMN I can't get enough.

I fell in love with Alec within seconds. The protective ones alway get me and Ms. Brandy can write a protective over the top man like no other.  There is this connection between the two characters that just screem from the page even when they are not together. I can't describe it...its like this build up you have been waiting for and when it happens you can breathe a little easier knowing that everything is right in the romance reading world. I fell in love with her writing from the get-go and she was quickly added to my stalker list.

Richer Than Sin by Meaghan March

I usually love me some Meghan March. Her writing when paired with the characters she writes usually ends up exploding on the pages. As much as I want to sit here and type that I loved this one just as much...I cant. I struggled through this one trying to find the connection between Lincoln and Whitney. I think I almost wanted more from the past version. I wanted to get that feeling that there was nothing stronger than their love,  but I felt like it was just a repeat of what I was already reading.

With that said there were moments in this book that I did enjoy. I loved the back characters. I felt their fire and love of their family. Cricket seemed so carefree and fun and balls to the wall kinda girl we all love to read about. I also loved the grandfathers role in this book. I loved how Lincoln tried to make everything right, but in the end I just felt like I was continually wanting more. Ms. March will continue to be one of favorite authors though and I cant wait to see if the next book gives me more of that emotional connection.

Someone Else's Ocean

I usually go into a Kate Stewart book with my balls tucked because I know somewhere hiding in her book is a chapter that will gut me. She has the capability to slay with her words and she chooses just the right moment to break you during her book. Although I had a little difficulty connecting with Ian and Kota I found myself enjoying the atmosphere that the book created.

Both were running from issues and looking for some piece, but for me I wanted to feel that soul connection I usually feel with Ms. Stewart's books. Ian was adorable and confusing at the same time. He seemed to run a lot, but at times had a very dominate personality. I like Kota and her free personality. I was jealous how she was letting it go and finding her own inner peace thousands of miles away from everything she knew.

Pretty Venom by Ella Fields

There is just something about Ella Fields words that make you get lost in a book. It at times has you so lost in the story that you feel like you are there watching everything fall apart. Trust me when I say fall apart that is exactly what I mean. She is the queen at making everything unravel just to put it back together again.

I really enjoyed the first part of this book. The build up of upcoming events had me not so patiently waiting to see what would happen. The problem is the second half of the book seemed to get a little tit for tat. I get the lash out and I get the wanting to have your revenge it just seemed to take away from both of them. Renee was so strong until it almost seem like she got lost in her groveling and Callum went off the deep end. In the end it all came back together and I got my happily ever after

The Peer And The Puppet by B.B Reid

Sometimes your soul finds a book and its just the perfect fit. From the first chapter I just knew that I was about to read something special and unforgettable. Trust me when I say this book is that book you will still be talking about 6 months down the road. I'm not some long time fan of B.B Reid. To be honest this is my first book by her. With that said this book went from just a book I was reading to THE book of 2018. Guarantee that I will be a stalker from here on out.

I read so many books that most of the time the female blends into the story and just exists, but Four was so transparent, mysterious and brazenly enchanting that I was a fan from the first time she opened her mouth. She was written to perfection, quickly becoming the key component to a story that will have you shouting 5 stars all the way.

Ever...words cant express my love for him. He was this asshole you wanted to hate and every time he opened his mouth you wanted to knee him in the balls, but he had this charisma that just stole the whole story. He was Alpha with a twist of sweetness that once you peeled back the layers he became everything you would ever want in your next book boyfriend.

Because You're Mine by Claire Contreras

I went into this book because of the title I'm not even going to lie. What I didn't know was this book would instantly top my 2018 top reads of the year. Ms. Contreras made this book come alive with a story that captivated you within the first few pages. Her writing took you on an adventure with the story, but her characters made you want to breathe the story in and never look back.

Catalina and Lorenzo want more. They want more of life, but neither knows how to ask for it. Catalina is a smart ass who refuses to do what everyone thinks she should. I loved how sassy she was and that she was not afraid to take the dangerous men in her life down a knotch.

It's not often you a read a book that draws you in so far you feel like you are part of the book. I found myself rooting Cat and Loren with every word I read. There is something about a jealous guy who wants his girl even when he shouldn't that just draws me in.

I can tell you that Ms. Contreras is a new author to me, but in the next month or so you can guarantee that every book she has ever written will be devoured by me. She is a wizard with words and I can't wait to read them.

That Guy by Kim Jones

This is my first Kim Jones book and let me tell you it will not be my last. This book will be in my top 2018 books when I do my favorites of the year. People are so good about remembering birth years and anniversaries, but me...I will remember 2018 as the year I was introduced to Kim Jones.  It just has that IT factor. Its hilarious, hot and deviously plotted out that you cant help fall in love with both characters.

Sometimes characters just click and everything from the beginning of the book just falls into place. Jake and Penelope's connection just rolls off the pages. It slaps you in the face and you have no other choice than to want to cheer on these two all the while you are laughing your ass off because let me tell you Penelope is every girl we have ever read about or hell dreamed to be.

It's not often I read an author and then go stalk them on Amazon so I can buy up every other book they have out, but Kim Jones managed to do just that. The humor and words and just the story so different, but yet endearing and page turning it turned into an addiction I couldn't put down.

The Divorce DIet by K.S. Adkins

K.S Adkins writes a hilarious, laugh out loud must read. Her talent to infuse romance and comedy comes to life in Divorce Diet. I love her ability to make me feel right at home in a book. Her females are not the lettuce eating, get your nails done type of girls. They take shit in their life by the balls and come out on the other end hitting a home run.

Eddie and Pharis are a unique team, but a team that no matter what happens in their life they know that they are at best...beside each other. I loved Eddie, but you have to be willing to give him a chance to make up for his shitty decisions. Pharis was the kick ass girl we expect from Ms. Adkins. She was tough when needed and forgiving when it was called for.

There is just something about a book that can have you laughing your ass off one minute and caught up so much in the characters that you are cheering them on to work their shit out the next. Eddie was the Alpha we all expect and the way he went after Pharis is the reason we all read romance books. Ms. Adkins puts a twist on romance that only she could pull off.

I Dare You by Ilsa Madden-Mills

College romances the one thing I love and the one thing I'm scared to take a chance on. I'm so picky about my college loves, but toss in some sports and now I'm going to comb over it with a fine tooth comb. One thing I quickly learned is there is no need to worry when Ilsa Madden-Mills decides to write a sports college romance. She nails it from the beginning to the end. She had me hook, line and sinker the minute the bonfire started. I was so enraptured with both of them I couldnt of put the book down if you paid me to.

Maverick and Delaney are characters that will stick with you. It doesn't matter if you read 3 books a month or 30 these two will take hold and keep you anchored the whole book.  It's funny because usually when I read I pay no attention to the females, but there is something about these feisty college nerdy girls that makes you feel at home. It makes you feel like you are there and living all the embarrassments and also the moments they find there back bones

Iron Princess by Meghan March

Ms. March knows how to leave you wanting more. She is the queen at writing kick ass men who can dominate a book and leave you swooning with every protective word that comes out of their mouth. She has the push-pull down between her characters. Her men are tough and fiercely protective and her females are tough as nails giving the guys trouble at every turn.

There is just something smooth in the connection of characters. It never feels forced its just real and as a reader immediately opens you up to their story. It is no different with Kane and Temperance. The first book had me wanting more of Kane. I wanted and needed more dialogue between them, but book two was worth the build up. We get so much more of both of them and it just makes you fall harder for Kane.

Rising by Jessica Ruben

Gripping, addictive and all-consuming, this book was a page-turner that you will not want to walk away from. I was compelled to devour every word on every page. Ms. Ruben didn't just write a book... she made this book her bitch. She danced her words onto the pages masterfully and left me with my jaw hanging open in awe of her story telling ability.

Vincent and Eve were a breath of fresh air. There was an instant attraction and connection, but it was never rushed. It was like watching a game of chess as they maneuvered around each other. They left you anticipating more, but content to watch their story unfold. The secrets between them and the what the hell is about to happen had me reading start to end.

Jessica Ruben is going places and all I know is that I will be on the float leading the parade and tossing out my condoms because Vincent is HOT. The danger of what is and the tension of what could be were so well blended that I couldn't read it fast enough. I'm done gushing over my girl crush with this author. READ THIS BOOK!
