Dark Promises by Winter Renshaw
Gotta love when you read a book by a new to you author and after you finish you go buy more of their books. Sometimes the world gives you hints and those hints usually lead me to buying books because something just speaks to me. I loved how the two characters meet. The games they played that resulted in finding love.
Keir and Rowan are on different tracks but when a woman scorned looks to regain her control back on life look out because anything can happen. Keir is trying to build his political empire and Rowan was just destroyed by someone doing the same. Watching these two dance around the lies while searching out the truth had me hanging on every woed.

Fumbled Hearts by Meagan Brandy
I read books everyday. Most I like, some I love, but every once in awhile I find one that makes something shift in my heart. It makes me want to rush through the book because you can't get enough of the characters, but slow down at the same time in fear it will be over too soon. This book was something special and its been a long damn time since I felt everything a book should evoke in you...that is until I stumbled on Fumbled Hearts.
I can count on one hand how many times I have decided to drink a bottle of wine and then message the author and drunkenly fangirl, but damn if I didn't need her to know how much I loved this book. Her characters are witty, the banter is amazing and she leaves you wanting more. Her ability to tell a story that has you hanging on every word, every character and every page its something special.
Right from page one I knew I was gonna love this book. The way Nate and Kalani meet, the sacastic banter and especially the way Kalani put him in his place had me smiling throughout the whole book. If you like the back and forth and a girl who can hold her own then you will love these two. Usually reading a book I pay little attention to the female character, but I'm pretty sure I finished this book with a slight girl crush on Kalani and a full fledged girl crush on this author.

DrumLine by Stacy Kestwick
I never thought I would say that I wanted to rip the band uniform off my book boyfriend and dry hump the hell out of him, but here I am... after reading DrumLine ready to get my freak on. I also didn't think I would find a book to add to my top 2017, but here I am totally crushing over a new author and saddling up this book to look pretty on my top 2017. Stacy Kestwick is an all-star of writing and I'm kicking my ass for not reading her before.
If you are looking for an author who writes a sassy female who will take no shit and a male who will do anything for his female then this is the book. Ms. Kestwick infuses humor and some unexpected possessive male protectiveness that will have you swooning for any attention you can get out of him.
Laird is that book boyfriend you wait for. The one who you always hear about, but he always seems out of reach. Laird and Reese made me want more and want it fast. They were fun and sarcastic and who doesn't love a girl who makes the guy work for her. Its always nice falling head over heels for a guy who knows what he wants. *****************************************************************************************
Drive by Kate Stewart
Kate Stewart is the Picasso of telling a story with words. Her words cut you deep, her characters leave scars, but her story heals your soul. Ms. Stewart's words never take the easy road. You are guaranteed to be taken down so many paths, but being on the journey of mapping out the road is everything this book embodies.
Going into the book I didn't even bother reading the blurb. I mean come on its Kate Stewart...One does not simply just read a blurb with a Kate Stewart book, one dives in with eyes wide open while chugging wine. I knew I would get this beautiful story that would have heartbreak and joy and tears and laughter. It would also hold a decision. One that would be hard, but the payoff would be incredible in the end. Incredible is a great way to describe this book. It will cut you wide open and you will love every minute of it.

On A Tuesday by Whitney G.
There are some things that never get old...chocolate, wine and Whitney G. books. There are not too many things I can turn away from and a story from Whitney G. is not one of them. She captivates with her words and lets her characters mesmerize you with their story. She is truly spectacular with spinning a story that will have you salivating to get to read each and every word.
I just loved Charlotte and Grayson from the start. The meet, the attitude and the fight against feelings, made this book that much more. The push and pull between them makes you fall in love with both of them. You love Charlotte because she is determined to rule the world in her fight against men. Yet, you will love Grayson because he sees something he loves and he goes after it.
Whether she is writing asshole alphas or college sweetherats Whitney G. nails it every time. She is special when it comes to the words she writes. They attack you when you are least expecting them. They are special and at times you hate to share them, but the world should not be exempt from reading this author.
Ruthless King by Meghan March
Meghan March does it again and this time she is bringing something different to the table. It's gritty and and dirty topped with everything you love about this author. There is just something that makes me fall in lust with a guy who demands attention. A guy everyone will not cross, but also one who has a soft spot for the female.
Ms. March writes a female like no other author. She is sassy and takes no shit and thinks nothing about standing up to her man. At times during a story I feel the female fades to the background but this author makes her females stand up and demand attention all the while throwing sass at the male that most times you either want to kick in the nuts or dry hump a leg.
Ruthless King is gripping in all the ways you hope a book will grab you by the balls. We all want to love the asshole and Ms. March parades him around in this book...ready to love. He may not be tossing candy, but he is definitely tossing orders. Although, at the end of this book I wanted to kick the author in her lady bits for the hang, but I'm gonna let it go because damn was it a way to go.

Racer by Katy Evans
I can't pinpoint one certain thing about Katy Evans writing that keeps me coming back book after book. Her characters grab you right from the start. It's the meet and the connection you feel between the two that will have you turning the pages over and over. I loved Racer right from the get go. His cockiness and nothing will stand in the way between me and my woman attitude had me cheering him on.
Racer and Lana were the couple we wished they were. Racer was that guy who knew what he wanted. He had a vision the instant he met Lana and nothing was going to take him in a new direction.
Katy Evans knows how to write a man. You know going in you are getting a take no prisoner type of guy. Guy meets girl, guy goes after girl and guy will not let anyone come between them. I went into this book not knowing a thing. I didn't realize who Racer was or who his parents were. So being so blindsided was a great surprise.

Born Darkly by Trisha Wolfe
As a reader I try and never block myself into the same ole same. I like to venture out and take risks and try something different. Born Darkly is that different. Its thrilling and suspenseful and has you routing for people you should be hating, but just can't bring yourself to. Ms. Wolfe's writing flowed so well it felt like I was the one in the book with my heart racing trying to figure out the difference in the bad and the good.
When I first met London I was intrigued. She seemed guarded and was obviously protective of herself and her secrets. At other times I felt she was cold and closed off. As the story started unraveling and I started to learn pieces of her past I was starting to realize that there was more to the story then I was putting together. That alone can make you excited to read a book. Thinking that you know what is about to happen only to be tossed for a loop and be right back to trying to figure out what the hell will happen.
I Want by Ella Fox
I love me some Ella Fox books. You are always guaranteed a good story with little drama. She writes a drama free romance with a hot guy that you will fall in love with. So far the brothers have not disappointed. Although, at times I would have loved to have Jandro and Kaya have have the dialogue that Kaya had with Elvis. I loved Elvis it was just at times I felt the story focused on him and not getting to know Alejandro and Kaya.
I love these brothers so far and cant wait to continue to read about them. I have high hopes for Rafe and his poor broken soul. I cant wait to see what Ella brings to the table for him. Although, I didn't feel the connection between these two I just know that I will love everything else Ms. Fox brings in the next book. The one thing I do love about reading Ella's books is that the picture she paints seems to come to life. It's like you are the one in the story taking care of Elvis and chasing him across the yard.

Scandalous by L.J. Shen
L.J. Shen makes me thankful that I'm a reader everytime she releases a book. There are authors that you read and then there are authors that you drop everything and anything to read, and L.J. Shen is that author. Every page, every chapter and every story commands the readers attention. The lust, sexual tension even the love/hate screams from every word. Her men make me seriously want to enter the dating world again in search of these men she makes come alive in her stories. he
Is seems the bigger the asshole at the beginning of the book the more I fall in love with the guy and Trent was no exception. I have so enjoyed watching the fight these guys put up rather than excepting their feelings towards their woman. It makes the fall that much more sweeter. Trent is sex on wheels and the sexual tension between these two would of had me trying to dry hump his body parts too.
To make a long story short. I'm pretty sure I'm more satisfied after reading one of MS. Shen's books than I am after sex. That's right, I admit it. Who needs to put down their wine, get all undressed and do the deed when I can just read about one of my Hotholes.
Bottom line. L.J. Shen is a triple threat. Great characters, great story and awesome writing.

Spinning Out by Lexi Ryan
Sometimes a book starts out and you just have this feeling that you are going to devour every word. This was the case for me with Spinning Out. The writing, the story line and the characters really pulled me from the beginning. It was different and intriguing and it made me want to cheer Mia and Arrow on even through the toughest of times.
Arrow had me falling to my knees from the get go. He opened his mouth and I fell in love a little more and more. He was just so real and never pulled the punches. He knew how to pull them in and let them go all at the same time.
This was a unique story. It seems like I constantly read the same thing over and over, but this one was intriguing and left me wondering what the hell was going on and in the end what would happen with Arrow and Mia. Lexi Ryan did this one proud.
Things Liars Hide by Sara Ney
I wish I could be one of those people who loves every book, but that is just not in the card for me and although I fell in love with How to Date A Douchebag by Sara Ney this just didn't work out for me. If you love the cutesy type relationships where the guy is young acting and the girl has major dramatics than this is the book for you. Tabitha and Collin meet in a very entertaining way and I did actually love the basis of the story.
I wanted to love it just because it was Sara Ney, but when a book doesn't work for me it just doesn't work. One of the things I usually love about this author is her characters chemistry and this just fell a little short for me.

Hate To Love You by Tijan
I wanted to love this book so much. Tijan and her writing seem to be ingrained in my heart for most of books, but this one just didn't connect for me. I was so intrigued at the beginning. I mean first day of class, hot guy and girl who was awkward... I was like hell yeah. I just didnt connect with either of them. I wanted more. I wanted that lust that need to be with each other.
Kennedy seemed to be a little to rough around the edges for me. I wanted her to soften so many times through this book it just didn't seem to happen. She seemed almost too mean for the things that happened in her life. I wanted her to be a little less dramatic and a little more open to new things.
I
Shay was a great guy and very supportive in everything that concerned Kennedy. I8 wish we would have had more time to explore their thoughts and feelings a little bit more. I love Tijan and usually her books are right up there at the I only give 5 stars and I would love to say the same for this one it just connect with me.

The King by Skye Warren
Skye Warren has quickly moved herself up to one of my top authors. Her writing brings me into the book almost like I'm there in the story...as if the story is my story. The day I discovered this author is the day that all my book funks ended. Im pretty sure I was in a major slump until just by chance, I had this free book on my kindle which in turn brought me my new author obsession.
So needless to say when The King came out I couldn't wait to get my hands on Damon Scott's story. I was so intrigued by him that I needed to know what the hell was happening. Ms. Warren has this way to make a story come to life. Her story goes so deep its almost like its your story. You read it, You live it and in the end you need each word to keep going.

Mercy by Debra Anastasia
Debra Anastasia adds just the right amount of humor and romance to ruin
you for other book couples. She really ups the ante with such an
intriguing book. She takes a story and not only has you parading along
after her words, but she has you tossing the fn candy out to anyone who
will listen to you talk about this book. I went into this book knowing
absolutely nothing. All I read was the name of the book and the little
snip it of... he shows none... I was all in. When an author can put
three words on the front of book that has you one clicking like a damn
crazy person, you know the story will be worth your time.
Becca was the rock in this story. She seemed like at any given time she might have stumbled along the way, but her fight and sheer will power never wavered. She was strong willed and vulnerable at the same time. You just knew she had a bad ass side that she was hiding and it was just waiting to come out. Well you will not be disappointed.
I'm not going to life, I was not D. Anastasia reader prior to this book. I have heard great things, but just never thought the book was for me... until this one. It makes me want to go back and start reading all her others. As a reader at times it seems you can only to talk other readers about how a book will have you up in the middle of the night reading it and shaking with laughter. This is one of those books you will be talking about. The author blended suspense and humor and words that you will reread over and over all in one book. Total package

Drunk Dial by Penelope Ward
I wish I could say that I fell head over heels in love with this book, but something was just missing for me. I didn't feel the connection of the characters that I usually feel with Ms. Wards books. I thought with the way the book started out that I would love the way it would all pan out. Rana drunk dialing Landon is something I think we have all done. So I was instantly entertained with her drunken antics.
The one thing I did love was the Landon and Rana in the past. I loved the letters Landon would write, I just wish I felt the same connection to the older Landon and Rana that I did to the younger version of them. I also enjoyed how she wove Rana's secret into the book. I thought that was well played and truly didn't see it coming. I love Penelope's Wards writing, I think this just had a little too much happening in it for me to feel emotionally connected to Landon and Rana

Dirty Little Secret by Kendall Ryan
If you are looking for a quick, short and fast read with a guy who
isn't sure at first what he wants then this is the book for you. A story
with 3 hot guys, you know its gonna be a story you want to read. There
is just something that draws me and pulls me in to the the men who seem
to go hot and cold. The guys who want the girl, but just cant fully
commit. You know the assholes. They get me every damn time.
I was worried starting this book that Emma would be a quiet spectator during this book. So to say I was pleasantly surprised when Emma turned into a girl who would not only make her own decisions with a side of a sassy mouth, but that she wouldn't take no shit from Gavin. The ending was just enough that has me anxiously awaiting book 2 so I can see what the hell will happen.

When Life Happens
Some books you read
and some books move you to read. When Life Happens is one of those books. This
author writes words that dig deep in your soul. Her words push you as a reader
to sometimes move past the uncomfortable knowing that what is at the end will
be worth every second of it. It's not often I find myself in awe of words and
sentences that are so beautifully strung together at times they make your heart
hurt and smile at the same time.
I absolutely fell in
love with Parker. I found myself identifying with her on so many levels. Life's
decisions, the mistakes and her finding her happiness. It was a bumpy road, but
so worth every adventure we were taken on. Jewel E Ann is a wizard with words
and a magician with a story line.
If you are looking
to just read a book then you have a million choices, but if you are looking for
a book that will stand out among a million… this is that book. It's the one
that as soon as you start reading you just know its special. You know that it will
be something you talk about for a long time.

RUCKUS by L.J. Shen
You know when a book
sits on your Kindle just taunting you, but something keeps holding you back
from reading it? You see, I already had a book boyfriend by the name of Vicious
and being the greedy bitch I am I didn't want to give him up. Then there was Dean.
I didn't want to like him, but I ended up loving him. He was just so lost and
wanted his girl so much he won me over. I mean, in the beginning I was worried
he would catch the dribble dick while waiting for his girl to come around, but
it was well worth the wait.
There are just some
authors that while reading their book you just know they were meant for this.
It's that feeling you get every time you open a piece of their work. Ms. Shen
falls into this category. It's special and when reading her words it hits you just
how special it is.

Rosie and Dean were
the perfect couple and dare I say might have put me in this two week book funk
I can't seem to crawl out of.

Take Me Back by Meghan March
I will be the first person to admit when I started reading
this book I wasn’t sure where it was going. I starting thinking maybe this wasn’t
the book for me. Let me be the first to tell you that Ms. March takes a hold of
this books and makes it her bitch. She had me flipping the pages like mad wanting
and needing more. It didn’t take long for me to connect with the story and have
me cheering on Dane and Kat while they battled the waves of reconnecting and
finding the love that was lost.
Dane and Kat are the couple that will make you want to
smooth the ride out for them and also throat punch them at the same time. The
thing about this book is that it’s real. We all have these issues where you are
in a relationship and something is just off. You know it’s off, but you don’t know
how to fix it. So reading about a couple who is lost and being on the journey
as they find their way back means everything to the reader in me.
I usually am the first one to admit I usually bypass on the
books where the characters already have a relationship. Every book I have read
where they already know each other leaves me scratching my head. That is until
Ms. March wrote this book. She made it feel new and old and made me want to
fight for this couple and at the same time remember everything that used to be
with them.
The Brave Line by Kate Stewart
You ever start a book and just know? You know instantly that
this book is going to speak to you in a way only a good book can. Some authors
have the capability to make you want to be the couple in the book and if I
could have traded places with Michelle I would have jumped Rowdy just about every
time too. I mean when I didn’t want to kick him in the nuts that is. Just when
I think Kate Stewart's writing can’t get any better she blows me out of the
water again with a book that leaves me in a major book funk.
Rowdy and Michelle will steal all the smiles and laughs and
in the end your heart. This couple is special. Every smart-ass remark or comment
between them just drew me in. I wanted to protect Michelle and dry hump Rowdy.
Feeling emotionally connected with the characters doesn’t happen
all the time. These two are guaranteed to make you want to go back and read every
one of Ms. Stewart's books. She has something special with bringing not only the
couple together, but the reader. That 5
star read doesn’t happen often, but when it does it will find its way into your
heart and into your top reads of the year.
