Racer by Katy Evans

I can't pinpoint one certain thing about Katy Evans writing that keeps me coming back book after book. Her characters grab you right from the start. It's the meet and the connection you feel between the two that will have you turning the pages over and over. I loved Racer right from the get go. His cockiness and nothing will stand in the way between me and my woman attitude had me cheering him on.

Racer and Lana were the couple we wished they were. Racer was that guy who knew what he wanted. He had a vision the instant he met Lana and nothing was going to take him in a new direction.

Katy Evans knows how to write a man. You know going in you are getting a take no prisoner type of guy. Guy meets girl, guy goes after girl and guy will not let anyone come between them. I went into this book not knowing a thing. I didn't realize who Racer was or who his parents were. So being so  blindsided was a great surprise.

Born Darkly by Trisha Wolfe

As a reader I try and never block myself into the same ole same. I like to venture out and take risks and try something different. Born Darkly is that different. Its thrilling and suspenseful and has you routing for people you should be hating, but just can't bring yourself to. Ms. Wolfe's writing flowed so well it felt like I was the one in the book with my heart racing trying to figure out the difference in the bad and the good.

When I first met London I was intrigued. She seemed guarded and was obviously protective of herself and her secrets. At other times I felt she was cold and closed off.  As the story started unraveling and I started to learn pieces of her past I was starting to realize that there was more to the story then I was putting together. That alone can make you excited to read a book. Thinking that you know what is about to happen only to be tossed for a loop and be right back to trying to figure out what the hell will happen.

I Want by Ella Fox

I love me some Ella Fox books. You are always guaranteed a good story with little drama. She writes a drama free romance with a hot guy that you will fall in love with. So far the brothers have not disappointed. Although, at times I would have loved to have Jandro and Kaya have have the dialogue that Kaya had with Elvis. I loved Elvis it was just at times I felt the story focused on him and not getting to know Alejandro and Kaya.

I love these brothers so far and cant wait to continue to read about them. I have high hopes for Rafe and his poor broken soul. I cant wait to see what Ella brings to the table for him. Although, I didn't feel the connection between these two I just know that I will love everything else Ms. Fox brings in the next book. The one thing I do love about reading Ella's books is that the picture she paints seems to come to life. It's like you are the one in the story taking care of Elvis and chasing him across the yard.

Scandalous by L.J. Shen

L.J. Shen makes me thankful that I'm a reader everytime she releases a book. There are authors that you read and then there are authors that you drop everything and anything to read, and L.J. Shen is that author. Every page, every chapter and every story commands the readers attention. The lust, sexual tension even the love/hate screams from every word. Her men make me seriously want to enter the dating world again in search of these men she makes come alive in her stories. he

Is seems the bigger the asshole at the beginning of the book the more I fall in love with the guy and Trent was no exception. I have so enjoyed watching the fight these guys put up rather than excepting their feelings towards their woman. It makes the fall that much more sweeter. Trent is sex on wheels and the sexual tension between these two would of had me trying to dry hump his body parts too.

To make a long story short. I'm pretty sure I'm more satisfied after reading one of MS. Shen's books than I am after sex. That's right, I admit it. Who needs to put down their wine, get all undressed and do the deed when I can just read about one of my Hotholes.

Bottom line. L.J. Shen is a triple threat. Great characters, great story and awesome writing.

Spinning Out by Lexi Ryan

Sometimes a book starts out and you just have this feeling that you are going to devour every word. This was the case for me with Spinning Out. The writing, the story line and the characters really pulled me from the beginning. It was different and intriguing and it made me want to cheer Mia and Arrow on even through the toughest of times.

Arrow had me falling to my knees from the get go. He opened his mouth and I fell in love a little more and more. He was just so real and never pulled the punches. He knew how to pull them in and let them go all at the same time.

This was a unique story. It seems like I constantly read the same thing over and over, but this one was intriguing and left me wondering what the hell was going on and in the end what would happen with Arrow and Mia. Lexi Ryan did this one proud.

Things Liars Hide by Sara Ney

I wish I could be one of those people who loves every book, but that is just not in the card for me and although I fell in love with How to Date A Douchebag by Sara Ney this just didn't work out for me. If you love the cutesy type relationships where the guy is young acting and the girl has major dramatics than this is the book for you. Tabitha and Collin meet in a very entertaining way and I did actually love the basis of the story.

I wanted to love it just because it was Sara Ney, but when a book doesn't work for me it just doesn't work. One of the things I usually love about this author is her characters chemistry and this just fell a little short for me.
