Assumption By: Aurora Rose Reynolds

There is a feeling you get right before you start a new book that one of your favorite authors has just put out. It’s somewhere between excitement and fear. Fear because you are so scared that you will open the book and the style has changed and she is now writing a book about Dudley the donkey wrangler. Once you open it though, the excitement sets in because you realize Crystal will never let you down. She has this way of sucking you into a story that makes you get lost and fall in love all at the same time. It’s like watching a sunset unravel. You start out with anticipation then to the awe moment and finally, sad that it’s done and trying to find something to replicate the situation.

Kenton and Autumn may be from two different worlds, but when it comes to love those differences go out the door. The attraction happened right from the get go along with the battle of wills. Sometimes assuming that you know what it’s like walking in another person’s shoes can come back to bite you in the ass. When a strong male meets a strong willed and slightly broken female only good things can happen. Once these two get together though they will have you laughing and cheering them on their journey to love.

I couldn’t help but want to soak up a little bit of her time. She’s not what I expected. She’s not what I wanted, but fuck me if she’s not what I need.

I feel like I just keep repeating myself every time I review a book from this author. As a reader you learn to appreciate not only the author, but the writing that lets you leave the world behind for a few hours. Ms. Reynolds gives that to her readers. She gives you the escape along with a story you will adore and a book that just stays with you.

Incandescent By: River Savage

Kindle in both hands…Knees slightly bent and ass out..That's how I was reading this book in hopes that Nix would walk by and spank me hard. Holy, dirty talking men. I'm so picky about my books that it's hard for me to find one that I just fall in love with. So when I find one that makes me want to take off my panties and swing them like a helicopter I'm all in. Ms. Savage created a book that ticked off everything on my must have list.

1.    Bossy men…Check
2.    Fun banter…Check
3.    Sense of humor…Check
4.    Overly possessive…Check

Nix and Kadence fast became a favorite couple for me. Nix was a bossy ass who, once he saw Kadence, fell fast and hard. I loved these two. The way Kadence stood up to him and put him in his place made me smile. Nix, even though he was bossy gave in at just right the moments. He fought for Kadence, but yet also showed a gentleness with her that made you swoon

I want to crawl in Ms. Savage’s lap and lay there while she writes or at least get a good dry hump on a leg in. I need the next book like I need my next breath. For me to find a book that I love the characters and the story is hard - so when I do find one I want to shout it to the roof top. This is a must read.

Always Conall By: Sibylla Matilde

It may be the Bitterroot series, but it’s always bittersweet when the end comes. Sibylla writes such endearing characters that you can’t help but fall in love with them. The tenderness that Conall treats Sage with makes you want to swoon. Sometimes you have to overcome loss, love and still have the ability to forget and forgive and go after your future. The push pull between Conall and Sage will have you wanting to jump in the book just to bang their heads together and scream just be together already…

I wanted to forget you, too,” Sage said morosely. “Even now, I still do. With you right here in front of me. Even after last night. It still hurts to think about when you left. How it felt to be so alone. How much I don’t want to care about you anymore.”

Conall and Sage have always been friends. Until a loss pushes them past a line that wasn’t meant to be crossed. After years pass the future collides with the past and the sparks begin to fly. Sage isn’t the same person she was 5 years ago. She had to grow up fast and learn the hard way that the people who are supposed to love us sometimes fail us the most.

He tilted his head, leaning into my faint caress. “The one constant in my life…” he breathed, “is you.”

I’m usually the first person to say that I usually do not care to read about couples who are already friends. I say usually because Sib managed to make me see the light that sometimes reading about broken friendships being pieced back together can be a beautiful thing.

One Night Promised By: Jodi Ellen Malpas

Once again I find myself completely possessed by a book that left me captivated in a world that only Jodi M. can create. The author doesn't just take you on a journey with her words, she drops you into a maze. A maze that has you spinning in circles once you hit the middle, unsure whether to retrace your steps back to the beginning to recreate the feeling or forge on to the end knowing your heart will probably be shattered into a million pieces. So, I forged on knowing my heart would hurt, but also knowing that when I hit the end I will be left wanting more. For me, whether she releases in 6 months or 6 years, M and Livy’s story will still be in the back of my mind.

M will bring all elements to this story. He’s complex, bossy and anything but what he seems. He barely shows emotions…You will love to hate him… He’s loyal, brooding, and at times the sweetest part of this story…You will hate to love him. Livy has secluded herself in a bubble. Fear of her future turning into her past has made her live a sheltered life. So you think. She may seem naive and sweet, but under all that is a past that toward the end has her showing the strength I wanted more of. These two will have you squeezing your thighs together with the lust that is provoked from the pages. When secrets are unveiled the controlled become the weak and the weak find strength to take control.

Anticipation, sexual tension, raw feelings these are just a few of the reasons why you will devour her book in a day. She just doesn’t tell a story - she takes you on an adventure letting you explore the emotions she is bringing out and in the end making you feel like you are the one who has fallen in love, fallen in a trance and broken beyond repair.
