Playing Fate by Leigh Ann Lunsford

Ms. Lunsford does angst well. You know going into one of her books you will probably be balling by the end. So when I see that she is writing a lighter book and not only a lighter book, but a sports romance… I was all in. Ms. Lunsford does words well. She creates this story no matter what she is writing that is just engaging and makes you feel like you can’t wait to turn the next page.
I love a man who knows what he wants and Deacon is all about knowing that what he wants is Saylor. We all want the good guy to fall in love with and Deacon is just that guy. He’s focused and driven and intent on winning over the girl. Saylor was joy to read. She had spunk. She was just refreshing and endearing as you could relate with everything she was feeling. You wanted to hug her and slap her at the same time.
Deacon and Saylor will warm your heart and their story will end up stealing it as well. I love reading the young love books. They are so heart stopping and gripping that it makes you just want to binge read everything you can get your hands on about college love. Ms. Lunsford does young love with the best of them and this one will leave you wanting more of her writing and her stories.

Blood To Dust by L.J. Shen

I can sit here all day and tell you that as a reader if you do nothing else in your time reading books… read an L.J. Shen book. I could tell you how she pulls you into the story and makes you feel like you are the one who is experiencing the journey, but until you sit down with one of her books and enjoy her words, you will have no idea what I’m talking about.  So I’m not going to tell you that this book is all kinds of awesome.  I’m going to tell you that Ms. Shen brings something different to the table. She brings grit and a love story that is a little different and a little edgy and a little dangerous that makes you want to protect the characters in the book.
Beat and Prescott are everything we want to be. Strong, independent and the type to take the bull by the horns. Fighters, it’s the only word I know to use. They have fought a battle against the good and the bad and each other and when it’s all over they still come out on top. I knew from the start that Beat would steal my heart. He was so determined and strong. Then… there was Prescott, she was strong willed and had so much heart it was hard to not listen to her story.
These two will steal your laughs, your cries, and will have you wanting to believe that sometimes good people do bad things for the greater of the good. This book will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what the hell these two will do next. This author is fast becoming a favorite of mine.

BOSSMAN by VI KEELAND

Vi Keeland nails the first meet to a T. Reading a Vi Keeland book is like spending an evening laughing with your best friends. She writes these couples that you feel like you have known most of your life. That you spend your weekends with these people laughing your ass off because they are just that funny and likable. She seems to do it every damn time. I start the book with a smile on my face and end the book with that same stupid grin.

Chase is everything we love. Arrogant, protective and everything in between that makes us want to toss our panties at him.  I loved him from the moment he opened his mouth. I could just picture the moment in my head and I was laughing the whole time. Chase and Reese will make you melt all while trying to cheer them on.

Ms. Keeland excels at infusing chemistry and humor into her books. It’s always an easy read that just flows and makes you forget about real life for a short time. You always know you will fall in love with both characters by the time you hit the last page.
