39 & Holding by M.R. Joseph

I love the way M.R. Joseph writes a book. I get sucked in so quickly no matter what she is writing about. She has this smooth way to tell a story that has you entranced within the first few pages. Toss in the humor and one liners and this book turns into a must read. Although, at times, you will want to punch Greer in the junk forever doubting Nick and his operation “Get Greer” but she will always find a way to redeem herself. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m approaching 40 or not but you just identify.

What happens when the one person in the world who wasn’t supposed to break your heart puts you under the car and drives over you then backups for good measure? You become the person you never wanted to be the one who questions the motives of anyone who pays attention to you. Trying to build trust and learn to let someone in again- as a woman who was scorned is only for the strong. Luckily Greer was meeting the challenge head on.

If as a woman you can’t connect with this book then you may want to do a genital check. I think we have all had at least one of thoughts that went through Greer’s head. Then to top it off you throw in a hot dirty talking man and Dr. Pussy Destroyer is born. Making me fall for her men is a given when it comes to Ms. Joseph

Convincing Bet by K.S. Adkins

I have read several books from this author and this, so far, is my favorite. Going in I knew I would get humor tenfold and a hot bossy guy who at times doesn’t know when to shut up. What I didn’t expect was the emotional pull and at times the ache in my heart that had me wanting to fight right along with Rio to pull Bet from the years she has lived in her own purgatory. Ms. Adkins will suck you into this book with her ability to not only tell a story, but make you feel like you are living it. 

Maybe I shouldn’t have rooted on Bet to ask Rio to kill her and maybe I shouldn’t have wanted Rio to convince Bet to live and maybe just maybe I shouldn’t have wanted them to fall in love. The problem is I said yes to all of those. I wanted Rio to be the light that Bet saw shining- the light she wanted to consume her and I wanted Bet to be the rock that Rio felt comfortable leaning on. These two may be in two different worlds, but when love decided to come knocking the only thing to do is answer the damn door.  

The thing about reading a book by K.S. Adkins is you will find yourself one minute caught up in the sex scene and the next minute laughing your ass off at the most awkward time. I’m pretty sure Rio could have you hot and bothered one minute and the next have you laughing while he gives you a description about sex noises that happen during the act. If you want to laugh Detroit style…read a K.S Adkins book. If you want to have your heart stop…read a K.S. Adkins book. If you want to toss the traditional love story out the door and take a chance on a train wreck love story that ends in two people loving beyond measure…read a K.S. Adkins book. 

Thrown to The Wolves by Rochelle Paige

Why do I love shifter books??? I will tell you why. I love them because there is no question about does he love her or is she the one. He accepts it- then he takes like a boss. That is why I have loved reading Black River Pack series because the men either know or when they find out they come in like the GD Kool Aide man claiming their woman. Ms. Paige has won me over before with her books, but these just make you get lost in a story about a guy and a girl. 

Parker wasn’t looking for his mate, but he wasn’t scared of finding her either. When Annora shows up in his town she was just hoping for a break, but what she finds is a mate. With these men love is something that is nourished it’s something that is handed to them and they run with it and take to a new level. A level that involves protecting not only them, but the family that comes along with it Parker is all soft, but when faced with his mates future he turns all bad ass. 

I hate to see my Black River Pack men go away, but I’m happy that I had a chance to experience a love that is fast and furious and no holds barred. I’m glad Rochelle took a chance on a series that would make us all fall in love.

Beautifully Insightful by K.C. Lynn

Ms. Lynn continues to prove that her men are here to stay. She gives you men that just nail the possessive and protective nature. To top it off an FBI agent which is one of my favorite men to read about and bam she has nailed it again. What is nice about sitting down with a K.C Lynn book is that you just know not only will you get a strong male, but you will also get a female who will not annoy you the first time she opens her mouth. She writes strong female leads that have a sense of humor and for me it’s nice to enjoy both the male and female during a read. 

Ryder has always been on the wrong side of the tracks his whole life. Always wanting to be something different his future had plans- plans that did not involve Emily Michaels. From the moment Ryder played knight in shining amour she was his. They were inseparable until her family decided to intervene. Six years later after Emily’s family ripped Ryder from her, he comes crashing back in like the Kool-Aid man. 

Look no further for your bossy, protective and overbearing male when it comes to this author. She will have you caught up in the story within the first few words She manages to trap you not only in the story, but has you not wanting to put the book down to see what will happen in the end. This author just continues to grow and I’m so thankful that I’m along for the ride.

OMG!!Do you hear that? Yes its me fan-girling over Chantal.Why you ask,because I just got to spend 6 hours locked in Holy Mother of Alpha world with Reid Knox.I love when you start a book and instantly become drawn in.She had me from 5% and never let go.I was unsure at first thinking- oh wow, these kids are young.Reid is 23 and by the time he opened his mouth his age flew out the window and my wanting to do things to his body came flying in.Wait!
